WHRIN is recruiting a new coordinator
The Women and Harm Reduction
International Network (WHRIN) is seeking a new coordinator.
WHRIN membership is currently around 400 allies across 50 countries. WHRIN operational funding is secured to the end of 2024. The position is initially 3.5 days per week, mainly desk-based with some travel as required. The position will commence early July 2023.
Essential
- Strong background in and understanding of Harm Reduction
- Working experience with groups and networks of women and gender diverse people who use drugs
- Demonstrated working experience on harm reduction and gender
- Experience and familiarity with relevant donor environments
- Experience in interaction with United Nations and government actors
- Grant writing experience and results
- Strong English language written and oral communication skills, including public speaking experience
- Management experience and skills. This includes human resource management.
- Proven ability to create and manage workplans and budgets. This includes management of small grant schemes
- Research skills
- Webinar coordination experience
- Availability for flexible/responsive working hours
- Strong time-management skills and ability to manage periodically challenging workloads.
Desirable
- History of illicit drug use
- Additional languages
- Working knowledge of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs; the Commission on the Status of Women; the Committee on Elimination of Discrimination Against Women; and like-minded
- INGOs
- Familiarity with Xero software
